Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy governs how you may use the TekSpert Vehicle Data Platform. It ensures compliance with DVLA's terms for the Vehicle Enquiry Service and protects all users.

2. Permitted Use

The Platform is intended for legitimate business purposes including:

• Motor trade: vehicle stock checking, dealer inventory management
• Insurance: underwriting, quote verification, claims processing
• Fleet management: compliance monitoring, MOT/tax tracking
• Other legitimate trade: recovery, parking, transport, plant hire, valet

3. Prohibited Conduct

You must NOT:

• Use the Platform for bulk harvesting or scraping outside your legitimate use case
• Resell raw DVLA data feeds to third parties
• Use data to build personal profiles or enrich personal data databases
• Share your login credentials with unauthorised persons
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, billing controls, or security measures
• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Perform lookups on registrations without a legitimate reason

4. Rate Limits

Single lookups are subject to per-tenant rate limits (default 60 per minute). Bulk jobs are sized per plan. These limits exist to prevent abuse and ensure fair access for all users.

5. Enforcement

Violation of this policy may result in account suspension, termination, or referral to the DVLA and/or relevant authorities. TekSpert reserves the right to suspend accounts immediately where abuse is detected.
