Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the TekSpert Vehicle Data Platform ("Platform"), operated by TekSpert Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.

2. The Service

The Platform provides access to DVLA Vehicle Enquiry Service (VES) data through a web interface. This includes single vehicle lookups, bulk CSV processing, persistent vehicle records, fleet management, and compliance reporting.

All vehicle data is sourced from the DVLA VES API. We do not provide keeper data, MOT history, finance checks, or any personal data beyond what VES returns (registration details, MOT status, tax status).

3. DVLA Acceptable Use

As a registered user of the DVLA VES API, TekSpert is bound by DVLA's acceptable use requirements. You agree not to:

• Use the Platform to bulk-harvest vehicle data outside legitimate business purposes
• Resell raw VES data feeds to third parties
• Use data to enrich personal profiles or for any unlawful purpose
• Circumvent rate limits or abuse the lookup system

4. Accounts and Billing

Accounts are subscription-based with optional pay-as-you-go credit top-ups. All prices are in GBP and exclusive of VAT (added at 20% standard rate). Subscriptions are managed via Stripe. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period.

5. Data Retention

Vehicle records are retained until you delete them or close your account (then 90-day soft-delete followed by hard purge). Lookup audit trails are retained for 24 months on a rolling basis. Bulk job files are purged after 30 days.

6. Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is". We are not liable for DVLA upstream outages, data accuracy (we relay what DVLA returns), or indirect/consequential losses arising from use of the Platform.
